Your Role and Responsibilities
- You are a Unix Server DBA who will be supporting our migration to IBM cloud services infrastructure, Make recommendations for improvements to security, scalability, manageability, and performance across a wide variety of network, storage, and compute technologies.
Responsibilities:- Build new cloud based data center services environments for Pr****g@*** initiatives.
- Assist with identifying and planning potential new cloud services, features, and capabilities.
- Serve as overall subject matter expert on Unix Server DBA technology and market capabilities/trends.
- Collaborate with internal and external parties to transform high-level technical objectives into comprehensive technical requirements.
- Formulate detailed network, storage, and compute design specifications for stable and secure computing operations in a dynamic cloud based environment.
- Make recommendations for improvements to security, scalability, manageability, and performance across a wide variety of network, storage, and compute technologies.

- 5 years experience in the administration of DB2 UDB V10.x and V11.x, Partitioning and HA for databases, creation and setting up backup using TSM
- Troubleshooting DB2 UDB issues in Development / Test / Production environments (analyzing db2diag.log / notification log / memory tracker / db2pd and etc.)
- Experience in SQL (knowledge of DDL, DML) especially in the database administration and management area and other Db2 Tools is required
- Proven experience in Backup and Recovery using TSM, online and offline backups, export/import is mandatory
- Demonstrated experience in UNIX and supporting DB2 on UNIX and Windows
- Experience in UNIX shell and awk scripting
- Demonstrated experience in performance tuning experience, including SQL, DB and DBM, reading explain plans
- Demonstrated experience in Upgrade, cloning databases and migrating databases between platforms
- Experience in installation of DB2 client and other DB2 related products is required
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Demonstrated experience in Disaster Recovery solutions including designing, configuring and ongoing support is preferred
- Knowledge of Enterprise backup solutions is preferred
