Job Description :

Must have

• Experienced with PostgreSQL & PostgreSQL Architecture
• Installation , Configuration and Implement PostgreSQL in Production and Development environments by following standard practices.
• PGAdmin - Configure and monitor backups and replication for PITR.
• CloudSQL experience mandatory.
• Experience with jsonb datatype and nosql features of PostgreSQL.
• Experience setting up High Availability Failover Replication.
• Experienced in DR Replication monitoring and configuration ( and role reversal for replication etc)
• User creation, object Backup & Restore , Backup, Recovery and PITR
• Query tuning and DB performance tuning.
• Database user roles and Security related permission.
• Creating and Managing PostgreSQL Databases
• PostgreSQL Index Management
• DB Partitioning.
• Schema handling.
• PostgreSQL Partitioning and System Catalogs
• Monitoring disk usage
• Transferring Data
• Moving Transaction Logs
• Reliability and WAL
• Writing shell script for Postgresql
• Database Performance tuning.
• Checking alert logs

Good to have

• Experience migrating from other DBMS like Oracle, MS SQL and MongoDB to PostgreSQL.
• Experience with field level encryption is good to have.
• Experience migrating databases to CloudSQL.
• Architect level Server security.
• Implementing Postgresql related tools.
