Job Description
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Information and Communication Technology (ICT) engineer, who will work within the design and construction team on technology engineering design and implementation. This is a unique opportunity for someone who leverages excellent technical and communication skills to rapidly produce technology solutions at scale.
ICT Engineers develop standards and design solutions specific to individual clients and projects, working with internal and external collaborators such as specialist technology teams (e.g. network engineering, AV services, and security), and coordinating with others (e.g. architects, MEP engineers, interior designers, estimators, construction leads) and outside consultants.
ICT Engineers report to the ICT Director, PxWe.
Responsibilities:
Understand individual enterprise client needs through requirements-gathering sessions covering IT, AV, and security concerns; translate these into technology design solutions.
Effectively document and convey these custom requirements and design solutions to the broader design and construction team, to ensure proper execution.
Work with internal architects, MEP engineers, designers and BIM specialists as they develop schematic level handover packages for consultant design teams or design/build contractors.
Procure and manage the delivery of carrier internet fiber circuits for project locations.
Coordinate and collaborate with team across disciplines to ensure successful delivery of projects, including
schedule, budget, and technical installation oversight.
Work internally with Logistics and Building Operations teams to specify, procure, deliver, and install
IT/AV/Security hardware as needed for each unique client.
Support Day 2 process to optimize building operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree or higher in Engineering or Information Technology
8+ years experience working in a client facing design and consulting role
Experience working with enterprise (e.g. Fortune 500) companies preferred
Broad knowledge of low voltage infrastructure, systems networking, telecommunications, audio visual
design and electronic security
Understanding of network architecture and information security compliance
Strong project management skills for team coordination, scheduling, budgeting, and supply-chain
management
Ability to prioritize, manage, and execute multiple projects simultaneously, and in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with project management software and platforms
