Job Description
SQL Data Analyst Job DescriptionSQL data analysts design scripts and programs to perform specific database functions and to analyze and maintain data. Many types of businesses hire SQL data analysts to work full-time business hours. SQL data analysts primarily work in office environments and report to the tech department manager or data supervisor. SQL data analysts are not required to travel to perform their usual duties and typically work with little supervision.
SQL Data Analyst Duties and Responsibilities

Integrate Data

SQL Data Analyst Skills and Qualifications
SQL data analysts use their in-depth knowledge of SQL programming to write programs and scripts that analyze and organize data. Employers look for candidates who have all the following skills:
Programming SQL data analysts have strong programming skills, particularly in SQL, structured query language, and other common programming languages
Computer skills because SQL data analysts perform their work on computers, highly advanced computer skills are required for this job
Mathematics SQL data analysts use math to write complex scripts and queries in SQL and other programming languages
Analytical thinking sharp analytical thinking is essential for SQL data analysts, who analyze specific data sets and statistics

- Experience in BASE SAS for 1-5 years (MANDATORY)
- Experience in statistical techniques like Regression, linear regression, Clustering, segmentation etc. (MANDATORY)
- Banking/Insurance Domain
Tools & Certification :
- Experienced and competent in the use of statistical packages e.g. SAS (including dealing with large datasets) and model development environments.
Other Desired Qualities :
- Good team management, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills, including the ability to lead and motivate others.
- Identifies key project stakeholders and develops an appropriate stakeholder communication plan.
- Engages with a diverse group of stakeholders to influence direction of projects to meet the project milestones.
- Team management / mentor ship experience is must; Should be good at resolving conflicts
- With good communication and presentation Skills
- Strong creative/innovative skills. The ability to think out of the box is key.
- Decent problem solving skills
- Experienced in segmentation methodology
