Embedded SW Engineer @ Microchip Technology

Job Description

• Embedded Software Engineer, Microchip FPGA Products Group
  As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and debug various software components and Applications/Solutions for SoC FPGAs.
  Build complex software related to embedded Linux, e.g. systems software, software development tools, applications, kernel development.
  Perform competitive benchmarking analysis for CPU performance and Power.
  Collaborate with other Engineering teams to escalate and improve product development.
  Work with global field teams and provide training, product demos and offer technical solutions.
  

Job Requirements
Qualifications
Masters Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering/Computer Science (from a reputed University) with a minimum of 2-4 years experience.
Required Skills:
Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python/Perl
Excellent knowledge of Processor Architecture (RISC-V, ARM) and basic peripherals such as SPI, I2C, UART.
Hands-on experience with Embedded Processor development kits such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi or other ARM or RISCV based HW kits.
Understanding of Linux kernel/driver development for multi-processor systems is a plus.
Knowledge of Yocto, Buildroot is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, written and spoken.
