The Job

You will be responsible for :
  • Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
  • Designing and implementing low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
  • Integration of user-facing elements developed by frontend developers with server-side logic
  • Implementing security and data protection
  • Integrating multiple data sources and databases into one system
  • Understanding the differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform
  • Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
  • Analysing and customising the source code as per business requirements.
  • Coordinating development and deployment activities.

The Profile

  • You have a degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields.
  • You are an expert in Python, with knowledge of at least one Python web framework such as Django, Flask, etc. depending on your technology stack.
  • You have developed applications with the latest technologies like Django, MySQL and have used Python Libraries like Sympy, Numpy, Scipy.
  • You have worked with frontend web development technologies like HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, Ajax, Jquery, etc.
  • You show familiarity with some ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries.
  • You show an understanding of the threading limitations of Python, and multi-process architecture.
  • You have a solid understanding of server-side templating languages such as Jinja 2, Mako, etc depending on your technology stack
  • A basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 is required.
  • You possess knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
  • You have familiarity with event-driven programming in Python
  • You have strong unit test and debugging skills
  • You possess proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, Mercurial or SVN.
