Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular ailments.
2. Prepare patients for treadmill test, DSE (Dobutamine Stress Test) and TE (Transesophagral Echo) test.
3. Monitor equipment during the procedures.
4. Participate in a variety of specialized technical activities to include preparing digitized ECG tapes, aiding in stress test and generating reports.
5. Edit information and to generate reports for physician to review.
6. Apply and remove Holter monitors to both in-patients and out-patients; explain procedures including, but not limited to, equipment usage
7. Set up patient room and maintain stock area for procedures including linens, electrodes, cassette tapes and order supplies as necessary.
8. Operate the Holter Monitor and the computer to enter and generate data
9. Complete electrocardiograph readings on patients as requested by various departments within the hospital.
10. Prepare and process paperwork for electrocardiograph readings for physicians review
11. Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of equipment and restocks supplies
12. Maintain accurate logs of patient information regarding electrocardiograph readings, Holter requests, Cardiac studies and assist in maintaining patient files.
13. Aid in stress Tests.
14. Co-ordination with other departments (HCU).
15. Preparing of template as per the format prescribed by the doctors for Echo Cardiograph in the System.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualification:
B.Sc. (Cardiac Care Technology) / Diploma in Cardiology Technician
Verbal Ability :
Ability to comprehend verbal instructions given by the supervisor or head of the department.
Other Skills:
1. Have an affinity for teamwork.
2. Technical Knowledge.
3. Able to work accurately and with minimal supervision.
4. Alert/Promptness.
5. Emotional Maturity
6 Ability to work under pressure
