Job Description

Extensive knowledge of how web semantics translate into a REST API
Real-time working experience on Rest API
Expertise working with data structures and algorithms
Proficiency in object-oriented programming and experience applying modern design patterns
Ideally - Scala/Javascript experience
Be acquainted with API design patterns to create a modern API design
Focus on the factors discussed in this chapter such as API design goals and best practices that can improve the application developer's experience
Translate the business domain into several APIs by having a clear understanding of the business vision and its functions
Coordinating with the test team for the regression test with each release, deployment in each of the lower environments, and support for the defect fix, if any, that comes along the line.
Understanding of an MVC framework such as Spring/Play.
Understanding of HTTP protocol (method/response codes), REST/RESTful web services, SOAP (optional)
Understanding of JSON or XML or protocol buffers
