Position Summary:

This position will support the Engineering team for the India business, one of the fastest growing segments
Responsible to design & develop the new processes & procurement of new equipment needed for New Product development, to see that Engineering team improves its responsiveness in meeting customer requirements of Time & Quality through timely execution of projects.

Education & Experience
B.E/B.Tech (Mechanical / Production Engineering) with 4-9 years of experience in Process Quality Design

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Design & develop Poke Yoke Processes, Jigs, Fixtures & Gaugesfor new products
Work closely with Design Team to ensure Design for Assembly (DFA) during Design process as well as for mapping new manufacturing processes & Equipment.

Support manufacturing on critical to quality process projects to implement new
technologies to improve existing equipment/processes for sustainable quality.
Continuously track & improve Rolled throughput yield of first five production lots of New Products (>95%).
Responsible for smooth transition of new products from proto to production stage.
Responsible for implementing PPAP including Manufacturing Flow Charts, Standard Work, procedures, Route sheets, Control Plans & FMEAs as prescribed by ISO standards
Work with close partnership with Operations for executing the projects
Functional Competencies:

Knowledge & hands on experience on process design & implement, SPC, Lowcost automation with poka-yoke & other Process capability & problem solving & monitoring tools.
Hands-on experience in 2D drawing (AutoCAD) & 3D modeling (Pro-E, Solidworks) with GD&T , Jigs / Fixtures material selection.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing methods &/or Six Sigma

In depth knowledge of using the Problem-solving tools (8D, DoE, C&E Diagram) to arrive at the sustainable solution.
Preferred exposure to Product Development Cycle (APQP) in an engineering / manufacturing product line from concept to launch, small / medium / precise products, rotary machines / OEM.
