WebMethods Middleware Administrator Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Location: Hyderabad/Work from Home(current circumstances later within the Client Virtusa ODC)
Notice Period: 30 days max

Desired Candidate Profile
Strong technical background with a minimum of 5 years professional with Production support, full life-cycle development, application administration and sustainment operations experience within a full-service EAI & API environment, with Software AG webMethods and webMethods-based solutions as the core experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide installation, configuration, administration, maintenance, management and production support of all Software AG webMethods components (Version 10.x), including, Integration Server (IS), Adapters (SAP, JDBC, etc.), My webMethods Server (MWS), Trading Networks, Deployer, Universal Messaging service, BPMS, CentraSite, Mediator, Optimize, Terracotta, API Management on RHEL 6.x/7.x platform in multiple environments (Development, QA, and Production and DR).
- Primarily support sustainment operations including directly troubleshooting production issues of deployed webMethods based solutions. React quickly to system failures, minimizing system downtime.
- Secondarily support full life-cycle (including the Plan, Analyze, Design, Build, Test, and Deploy phases) development of join custom and packaged webMethods based solutions as and when requirements.
- Good understanding of ITIL process involving the Incident, Service Requests, Problem, Change management, and release managements.
- Creation and updating of the RCAs and reviews.
- Work across teams to ensure the highest-level platform performance, availability and disaster recovery. Lead and perform the annual DR/Business Continuity test for Software AG webMethods components and webMethods based solutions.
- Develop and maintain of documentation for supported systems including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, KEBD, CMDB, Life cycle management, failure response procedures (FRP), disaster recovery procedures (DRP), operations acceptance package (OAP) and release management.
- Prepares users by conducting training; providing information; resolving problems.
- Provides support during the complex incident resolutions, Change management
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Mentoring the L0 and L1 team members.
- Responsible for various reporting daily / weekly / Monthly / adhoc basis and activity trackers.
- Should work on improvement plans for the environments on quarter to quarter.
Skills (Primary) :
- Experience with various middleware concepts, such as messaging, application integration, EAI patterns, data and service integration.
- Experience with applications servers, DB servers, Global and Local Traffic Managers, Networks.
- Experience with integration servers, specifically, experience with Software AG webMethods Integration Server product.
- Experience with message brokers / Universal messagin, specifically, experience with Software AG webMethods product.
- Experience with adapters, specifically, experience with Software AG webMethods SAP and JDBC adapters.
- Experience with development framework/technologies, specifically, knowledge of XML/XSLT, Web Services (REST/SOAP, WSDL, UDDI) and UNIX shell scripting.
- Experience in middleware software installation, configuration, tuning and administration, as well as experience with application development, specifically, experience with the Software AG webMethods EAI and API product suite.
- Experience in structured methodologies for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of applications with development framework/technologies, specifically Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
- Demonstrated knowledge and working experience in Linux (RHEL 6.x & 7.x) environment.
- A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines. Support the teams during critical hours of the production supports.
- Ready to support the production support team work in 24 x 7 shifts (even during Sunday, Saturday and holidays) during critical issues and major activities.
Skills (Secondary):
- Working knowledge of networks, Linux OS, software version control concepts and change management processes, UNIX shell scripting, automated job scheduling.
- Strong experience in Microsoft Office productivity tools
- Understanding of authentication and authorization security concepts
- Demonstrated expertise in change management and version control practices.
Soft Skills Needed
- Ability to work with various teams and help them with their issues.
- Ability to present or engage upper level management.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team.
- Ability to review the technical and non-technical work
