Job Description
Inviting application for Sr. Architectural Drafter & Sr. Structural Drafter for the leading US based BIM & MEP firm.
Summary:
- Title: (1) Sr. Architectural Drafter (2) Sr. Structural Drafter
- Work Location: Ahmedabad
- Experience: Min. 3 years
- Salary: No bar for the best candidate
- Qualification: Diploma in Architecture / Civil
- Must Have: Experience in USA projects
- Software Proficiency Required: Revit (Must have) and AutoCAD (Good to have)
- English communication required
Architectural Draftsman Responsibilities:
- Analyzing building specifications, codes, and sites.
- Creating technical drawings from architects' sketches and specifications.
- Create drawings that incorporate exact measurements, calculations, building codes, and other construction details.
- Printing drawing schematics for use by architects, construction managers, and structural and maintenance engineers.
- Entering data into building information modeling (BIM) systems to create 3-D models and renderings.
- Preparing drawings, charts, and records with equipment and conventional drafting techniques.
- Collaborating with architects and construction engineers to ensure adherence to building specifications and industry regulations.
- Keeping abreast of the latest developments and technologies in architectural design.
Desired Skills for Architectural Draftsman:
- Diploma or certification program in architectural drafting, or similar.
- Prior experience as an architectural draftsman.
- In-depth knowledge of building design, specifications, codes, and structural analysis.
- Ability to apply the fundamentals of sketching and design.
- Mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Great analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Structural Draftsman Responsibilities:
- Liaising with architects and engineers to gather product and structural requirements and designs
- Calculating dimensions, weight limitations and requirements in materials
- Describing production methods step-by-step (including equipment and software types to be used)
- Create detailed designs
- Design diagrams, maps and layouts to illustrate workflow
- Prepare and review rough sketches and review them along with the engineering team
- Identify potential operational issues and redesign products to improve functionality
- Ensure final designs comply with regulations and quality standards
- Create manuals that describe existing products operation, features and maintenance
Desired Skills for Structural Draftsman:
- Proven work experience as a Drafter
- Familiarity with 3D modeling tools
- Good math skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Diploma in Structure or Civil
