Job Description
- Analyzing users stories and/use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility.
- Collaborate closely with other team members and departments.
- Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression).
- Design and develop automation scripts when needed.
- Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies.
- Apply quality engineering principals throughout the Agile product lifecycle.
- Provide support and documentation.
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role.
- Experience in project management and QA methodology.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus.
- Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.
- Working knowledge of test management software (e.g. qTest, Zephyr) and SQL.
- Attention to detail Analytical mind and problemsolving aptitude.
- Fair understanding of Software Engineering including Agile Methodology.
- Review understand Functional Non-Functional requirements, specifications and technical design documents to Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers / architects and project managers) to develop Test cases.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools.
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs using Bug Tracking System.
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products / solutions to meet client needs.
- Develop Environment for Non-Functional Testing Reporting.
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
- Regular Reporting to Project Manager / Management / Client.
- Good English communication skills, both verbal and written, are desired.
- Educational Qualification: Graduation/Post Graduation in Computer Science, Engineering or in related field.
