Job Description:-
We are looking for an organized, experienced Store Keeper to be responsible for all stock, staff management, and planning promotional campaigns for the store.
To be successful as a Store Keeper you must be able to multitask and perform under pressure while remaining professional with customers. A good Store Keeper is able to manage stock by keeping a record of sales and ordering the required replacement items, occasionally making new product purchases that consumers may enjoy.
Responsibility;-
- Attends to internal and external customer requests for stock items including major unit assemblies. Processes stock requisitions and issues stock items over the counter or arranges transport and despatches as required.
- Assists customers with parts interpretation and provides stock information as required.
- Purchases held stock items as directed in accordance with DFES purchasing policies and procedures.
- Receives, unpacks, checks and allocates purchased held stock items into store. Attends to discrepancies where necessary.
- Maintains inventory management systems and processes issues and returns.
- Attends to internal and external requests for goods and services.
- Interprets customer requests for non-contracted parts, consumables or services, sources and obtains competitive quotes and prepares purchase orders in accordance with DFES purchasing policies and procedures.
- Receives, unpacks and checks goods received and where required, notifies relevant contact and/or arranges transport and despatch.
- Participates in cyclic and annual stock takes and perform random stock checks as required.
- Arranges transport and despatch of DFES service exchange equipment and follows up return of replaced equipment items.
- Arranges transport and despatch of unserviceable major unit assemblies to repairers and follows up completion and return.
- Maintains order and cleanliness of the store and assists with disposal of damaged and/or obsolete items.
- Operates specialised equipment including fork lift and gantry crane.
- Undertakes other duties as assigned.
