Sr. Software Engineer (Java & Cloud) @ Genesys India

The Genesys Cloud Predictions team at Genesys is looking for a talented software engineer to help build our computationally intensive cloudarchitecture services and distributed batched clustering system. We build a cloud-based contact-center and communications platform that s growing incredibly fast. The ideal candidate is a results-driven, self-motivated, back-end developer. The candidate must show the capacity to work, collaborate, and communicate effectively in a dynamic enterprise software development environment.

What you will do while working with us:

• Collaborate with team members, QA, and Product Management teams to design, develop, and test features that meet the business needs of our customers.
• Jump into various complex codebases, understand them quickly, and develop features and bug fixes in a fast-paced environment.
• Write and maintain unit, integration, and acceptance tests.
• Work with the latest AWS and big data technologies, such as: DynamoDB, Elasticache, EC2, Lambda, Hadoop and Spark EMR.
• Utilize modern languages, such as Java, Kotlin, and Clojure.
• Contribute to our team-maintained continuous deployment pipeline
• Help us evolve our platform to deliver features to customers faster and with fewer issues
• Foster an inclusive working environment where every team member is positioned for success
• Learn and teach by participating in code reviews, direct collaboration, and open discussions
• Exhibit thoroughness in evaluating all aspects of a solution including scalability, memory management, bandwidth, latency, automated testing, security, and compliance.
• Stay current with industry developments and new trends.
• Understand and comply with HIPAA security and privacy rules.
• Adhere to Genesys Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

About you:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or relevant, proven industry experience
• 5 years of experience in building cloud applications with expertise in JVM languages and familiarity in AWS resources.
• Preferable technical knowledges on : Java, Clojure, Kotlin, Python, Spring/Spring Boot, Hadoop, Apache Spark, AWS, Kafka
• AWS certification(s) and/or prior contact center industry experience would be an added advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent analytical and diagnostic skills
• Resourceful and detail-oriented developer
• Strong object-oriented analysis and design patterns experience
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and be detail-oriented
