Sr. Java Spring software developer with strong DevOps skills in GCP, and Kubernetes. We need a software developer that can fully develop, test and deploy their code through a DevOps pipeline. This will be working with apps that are deployed in Google Cloud Platform in an extensive Kubernetes environment. This is a great opportunity for expanding current knowledge in these areas. Curiosity, and the ability to quickly learn new skills is the most important aspect of being successful in this role. Developing deployment solutions, troubleshooting and supporting the products and tools of our clients is a strong aspect of this role. The perfect candidate will have demonstrable experience in software development and the practices, tools and techniques to develop unit and integration tests as well development in a Kubernetes environment with over twenty-five in-house and third party applications.
Skills in the following technologies are desired: Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, Jenkins, Spinnaker, Gradle, Make, Packer, Python and Java/Spring apps. Mac and Intellij are typically the development environment.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for development, maintenance, management, administration, and support of on-prem or cloud based Linux and Windows infrastructure
Participate in designing innovative solutions to improve current procedures
Demonstrate and evangelize best practices in software development and DevOps
Develop and maintain accurate documentation for procedures and services
Stay abreast of new developments to ensure consistent compatibility with established infrastructure
Requirements:
5+ years of applicable experience with Java Spring applications
2+ years of experience doing application development on GCP and Kubernetes
Software development experience (e.g. Git, Java, Java Spring, Python, Gradle, Maven, Make)
Development on Linux systems in a production environment, experience with shell-scripting (BASH, DASH, Bourne shell)
Understanding of network concepts, familiarity with TCP/IP and VLAN, NAT, routing, and load balancing functionality
Strong understanding of https, certs, sessions, SSO, DNS, cloud DNS and FQDN configuration.
Strong experience with servers and storage systems
Demonstrative written and verbal communication skills to audiences with a wide variety of technical knowledge
Very strong troubleshooting skills towards root cause analysis and practical issue resolution
Understand and articulate CI/CD best practices
Familiarity with cloud security and securing development and production environments
