Job Description
A web/data/internet researcher is part of project management team that generates specific data needed for any project in a competitive, flexible and timely manner. Internet can be a challenging and demanding place to find the information you need, given its expansive scope and fast-moving pace, a talented web/Internet researcher can make a difference. Therefore, a researcher should be efficient in several areas of expertise such as using search engines, networking sites, online databases etc.
Role:-Carry out thorough research on Industries, Companies, Products, People, etc. based on requirement through the internet and online databases.
Understand the required information and document the data.
Identify search keywords and use them to research or harvest maximum information.
Analyze and classify the information collected and put it in the desired output formats.
Parsing and Mining the data from various sites using tools.
Filtering archived websites and digitizing documents.
Activities:-
Search and identify relevant websites as sources of information.
Classify, list and prioritize the information sources.
Track news/development related to targeted Industry, Company, Product, and Person etc.
Incorporate the relevant information in newsletter/mailer/database in required format.
Candidate should be familiar with:-
Ability to search on the internet and computer application skills with appropriate search string.
The ideal candidate should be smart, energetic and bring an incurable level of passion.
The ideal candidate should be highly organized with a proven interest in Microsoft Excel.
New applications and tools offered on the internet and apply them for finding data.
Utilize various search engines like Google, Bing to research data about the given entities.
Working in a team and provide the required assistance.
Basic knowledge of any programming language.
