Please contact WSP if you have skills and experience in digital design infrastructure techniques including smart motorways technology, using 3D, Digital Twin and Building Information Management system applications. You will contribute to the capability of our Technology Infrastructure Design team. The team designs electrical electronic and communications infrastructure in control rooms, telecommunications sites and at the roadside for government and civil engineering clients.
WSP is looking for Digital Infrastructure Design Engineers at a range of grades, depending on experience, to join our industry-leading Intelligent Transport Services team to design the next generation technology that will build the transport systems that everyone else is talking about.
A typical week would include:
- Utilising your previous experience and knowledge in designing roadside infrastructure.
- Design processes using the latest digital techniques
- Working in the site environment witnessing your designs being assembled and collaborating with other designers and clients to maximise innovation
- Your theoretical and experienced application of sound design; your ability to collaborate with your clients; your team communications and your attention to detail will always be needed.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Degree in a computer science or systems or electronic engineering discipline, or equivalent industry experience, with the added recognition of a professional registration with an accredited institute. However, if you are currently on a route to professional registration, then you will be fully supported through the provision of a mentor and Professional Registration Advisors to take you through the registration process and achieve the status of a Chartered Engineer.
- From your experience in the industry you are likely to have experience in the application of BS / PAS 1192 up to level 3 along with practical experience in working with digital design systems, including Building Information Modelling systems, REVIT, CAD, Project Wise and Sharepoint.
- Data Management and modelling experience through Asset data management and working in Common Data Environment and associated systems including e.g. Vault, Buzzsaw, Navisworks, BIM 360 Glue would provide you with a fantastic opportunity to take our design team forward.
- Experience of domain specific standards in UK roads technology design.
