Principal PM Manager - Hyderabad @ Microsoft

We are responsible for building and offering components that support the Azure Dedicated workloads and bare-metal solutions on Azure. This involves large scale specialized solutions like Azure VMWare Solutions, SAP Hana Large Instances, Supercomputers in Azure, Azure NetApp Files, Azure HSM (Hardware Security Module) and more. We build distributed systems on a planetary scale and we build systems that are fully automated end to end.

• Lead a team of program managers responsible for key areas of specialized workloads with focus on execution and delivery. This needs solid grasp of cloud system architecture, bare-metal systems, GPU (graphics processing units) based systems and specialized storage.
• Work with leadership, customers, business partners and engineering groups to define scope and roadmap for projects and workstreams. Drive initiatives from inception to customer onboarding and then sustenance and evolution.
• Execution focused. Bias for action. Drive projects with clarity, with good risk assessment and regular, concise updates to stakeholders.
• Make sure we build compliant and secure offerings adhering to the security & compliance standards for enterprise ready offerings.
• Structure and solve complex problems, communicate with senior decision makers in a clear, compelling way, and drive decisive action in partnership with others in a large organization.

• 12+ years of experience designing and shipping high-quality cloud software solutions.
• 5+ years of people management experience. You are a seasoned people manager.
• You are a genuine self-starter, who proactively identifies problems, proposes solutions, and drives a team to address them.
• You are open-minded and continuously searching for Why behind the data being observed.
• You are a change agent driving cultural change of your team.
• You are strong technically, with a record of accomplishment of successfully designing and delivering solutions for complex technical problems.
• Real world experience in building and sustaining cloud systems at large scale, cloud infrastructure, end to end services.
• Passion for building great user experiences and a proven ability to work closely with engineering teams.
• Strong written/verbal communication skills, authors compelling documents
• A university degree (Bachelors, Masters, PhD) in Computer Science, related degree or equivalent experience is recommended.
