Job Description
Utilize standard methodology asset management tools and processes to ensure that IT assets are detailed accurately to support informed decision making, help identify savings opportunities, ensure maximum return on investment and reduce risk.
What will your job look like?
You will:
? Manage the lifecycle of software assets including licenses, entitlements, and SW maintenance agreements.
? Ensure all software information is entered into an ITAM repository and ensure information is up-to-date, accurate, and auditable. Investigate and resolve exceptions and accuracy issues.
? Facilitate the acquisition process of software and software contracts into ITAM systems for mergers and acquisitions.
? Address any gaps in software license support agreements.
? Conduct and report software asset reconciliation and audit activities on a timely basis, including financial, licensing, warranty, and maintenance/support contract information.
? Minimize liability related to unlicensed software in the enterprise and develop processes.
? Ensure compliance with Amdocs asset management policies and procedures that address all aspects of software usage
? Recommend, implement solutions and best practices to improve productivity, reduce costs and reduce risk of software license audit penalties.
? Explore opportunities for maximizing or exploiting unused or partially used IT assets to achieve full efficiency. Identify opportunities for volume purchasing to obtain price breaks.
? Generate, distribute, and review relevant asset management reports.
All you need is...
? 2-5 years of SW Asset Management experience.
? Solid knowledge of inventory asset tracking and discovery systems, asset methodologies and life cycles.
? Experience interpreting licensing terms and conditions, licensing knowledge and product use rights for defined software titles. Along with contract analysis and negotiation skills.
? Participated or lead in software audits
? Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast paced environment
? Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and sound judgment resolving issues in a complex environment
? Excellent organizational and detailed oriented capabilities
? Strong knowledge of Microsoft suite of Office products
? Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
? Highly motivated and results oriented
