Job Description
General Summary:
Keywords Studios is a premier provider of multimedia content localization and audio production services. From its state-of-the-art facilities located in Haryana, India, we are looking for a new team member to join our Global Team. The profile we are looking for requires the following attributes: A super organized, professional subtitling alpha geek, technically versed with subtitling software. A passionate film and series buff with a wealth of pop culture references who is completely fluent in English. A Hindi, Tamil, or Telugu linguistic virtuoso. A well-spoken, self-starter, a strong team player to collaborate, coordinate and contribute on different types of assignments relating to subtitling.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist in the recruitment and vetting process of new subtitling resources via our recruitment platform (incl. testing and assessments).
Track and manage training schedules and provide subtitle training to resources.
Coordinate on-boarding with language resource team.
Ensure training material, resource files, reports and materials are up-to-date and organized in a manner that assures availability in the training system as applicable
Data entry into database. This may include resource entry, project entry, purchase orders, new and revised client specifications, etc.
Prepare and send communications to internal departments and 3rd party vendors regarding project specs, revisions, and approvals.
Create, convert and export different subtitle formats and prepare deliverable assets.
Create backup files for client archival purposes.
Create, QC, Advise, Schedule, Deliver subtitling projects on an as-needed basis.
Interact with clients, Keywords Studios and Keywords Global Team and/or Project Team on a project per project basis.
Assist resources to solve problems and answer queries in a constructive and timely fashion.
Other duties as assigned.
5 years of professional subtitling experience
Solid technical understanding of cloud based subtitling tools required
Knowledge of different subtitles/ closed captioning formats such as SCC, SRT, TTML (.dfxp, .xml, .ttml)
Fluency in English a must - spoken and written
Must have strong interpersonal skills
Must be highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced global team environment.
Must also be able to work independently and as a team player
Must be solutions oriented and have a keen sense of diplomacy
Ability to prioritize & multitask while completing tasks in a timely manner
Ability to follow detailed instructions and concisely document processes
Ability to perform and /or schedule Linguistic Quality Assurance for accuracy and cultural relevancy of TV and film synopsis and metadata in native language.
Ability to analyze content to identify and solve localization challenges
