Software development Staff Engineer/Mgr @ Qualcomm

The candidate will provide technical leadership and manage other software development resources while closely working with various internal teams on tool and test development areas. The candidate is expected to manage activities and professional development of subordinate employees. Expected to play an active role on monthly department management meetings on staffing needs, project activities and cross-functional engagement with other groups. The candidate will interface with internal staff and outside partners in the fast-paced execution of a variety of multi-disciplined projects. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required, and the candidate must be able to work well with others in a technical environment. Frequent interfacing with team members in US will be required. The candidate will have an opportunity to influence and help adopt new test development methodologies and enhance existing processes. • Strong programming skills in C++/C#
• Proven experience on web services, web application development (front-end and back-end)
• Familiar with at least one of following database: MySQL / Oracle / SQLServer / SQLite / MongoDB
• Application UI design using Winforms/WPF or HTML/JS/CSS
• Demonstrated leadership skills on leading complex software design from prototype through production and sustaining
• Good analytical, debug and problem-solving abilities
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
• Effectively delegates tasks to other team members, multitasks and meets aggressive schedules in a dynamic environment.
• Setting up working detailed schedules and planned execution of deliverables for all projects and tasks
• Experience with embedded software and device drivers
• Experience with scripting languages (Shell scripts, Perl, Python etc.)

B.E/B.Tech. with industry experience in the following areas:

10+ years programming experience across C, C++/C#

5+ years of full-stack web development experience across Javascript / HTML5 / CSS / Jquery / AJAX / .NET

Bachelors - Computer Science, Bachelors - Engineering, Bachelors - Information Systems 2 years experience with Programming Language such as C, C , Java, Python, etc., 5 years of Software Engineering or related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

8 years Software Engineering or related work experience. ,1 years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above). ,3 years experience working in a large matrixed organization. ,3 years experience with API. ,3 years experience with Database Management Software.
