Job Description
Title: IT Infrastructure Analyst
Location: Pune, currently WFH
Duration: Permanent, Full time
Experience: 6-8 years
Notice: Immediate to 2 weeks
JD:
Experience:
- Networking and virtualization technologies (vswitching, routing, firewall, vpn, etc.
- Hands-on VMWare: 3-5 years (Preferred)
- vCenter Experience: 3-5 years (Preferred)
- NAS Storage: 2 years (Preferred)
- Backup Exec: 2 years (Preferred)
- Migrations from on-prem to Azure Cloud
- Enterpriselevel information systems: 3-5 years (Preferred)
- Experience in development and delivery of IT systems design and implementation
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain server operating systems
i. Physical (EXS hosts) and virtual (VMWare)
1. Toronto Virtual Lab (30 VMs on 17 ESXi Desktops)
2. Sherbrooke Virtual Lab (160 VMs across 45 ESXi Desktop Hosts)
ii. Restoration of Virtual Machines in ESXi clusters
iii. All current releases of OS 2008, 2012, 2016
iv. Build out new vCenter for Remote Sites
v. Modify file system sizes, verify mount point availability, repair defective file systems and modify file system permissions.
vi. Create, configure, and deploy operating systems and components as requested.
vii. create, maintain, and manage print queues using the print queue management Systems
- Perform scheduled software and hardware maintenance.
c. Provide regular project-related communication/updates to key stakeholders throughout the engagement
- Troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Monitor systems using enterprise monitoring solutions.
- Create and manage Changes to systems.
- Create and manage Incidents.
- Support and maintain Storage and Backup systems
i. R1Soft & SAN Infrastructure Management/Maintenance and Support
ii. Symantec Backup Exec Infrastructure Management/Maintenance and Support
iii. Managing tape backups & offsite rotation
iv. install, configure, manage, maintain, and support Storage.
v. Allocate and deallocate storage as required by the customer
vi. troubleshoot and repair Storage Equipment and Software in accordance with Change Management
vii. install, provide, manage, maintain, and operate a replication System that enables recovery of client Data at a specified point in time
viii. install, maintain, and operate Enterprise Storage backup and recovery Systems at Supplier Data Centers.
