Datacenter Platform Engineering and Architecture Group (DPEA) is looking for talents for Platform Power and Performance engineering to secure the system level quality by continuous integration and validation.
In this position, you will be responsible for defining, executing and reporting platform power and performance KPIs (Key Performance Indicator) based on integrated software and hardware packages to secure the quality of Intel released SW/FWs.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:o Pioneer investigator of emerging workloads (AI, Cloud, Network etc.) of DPG customers, expert in power and performance verification and optimization methodologies;o Build power and performance testing plan, execute and optimize in regular cadence released software and firmware stacks throughout the whole development cycle of Intel server products;o Play as a gate keeper to ensure software/firmware stacks meet platform performance and power requirements before release to internal and external customers;o Drive power and performance sightings for closure by proactive physical work in lab and/or coordination with relevant stakeholders on issue duplication and investigation.o Closely collaborate with Intel silicon enabling, software development, firmware development, and various components teams to optimize and tune from top application layer, firmware all the way down to silicon RTL level to meet KPI requirements.o Ensure process compliance and proactively improve workflows, best practices and tools;

Master of Science degree in in Electrical Engineering Computer Science or relevant technology.
Desired 5 years experience on platform performance and power optimizationGood problem solver with strong hands on skills for programming eg Python CC be able to do source code level tuning and debug softwarefirmware issues and write scripts for automating test cases
Good understanding of Intel Architecture Operating System Driver BIOS fundamentals and FW fundamentals And also popular server workloads measurement methodologies including SPECCPU Linpack FIO MLC SpecPower etc
Plus if have handson development/validation experience of one or more emerging server workloads including MLDL Training or Inference inmemory Database Network virtualization etc Well understand of software stacks to support those workloads such as Tensorflow ResNet50 Redis realtime kernel DPDK etcHave concepts of platform Integration cycles eg code review source control code quality automation scanning bug scrub feature testing and product release
Demonstrated capability to work within a team environment facing fast changing requirements and complicated stakeholders Excellent English verbal and writing skills
