Job Description
Looking at Quality Control for a "Sock" industry based at 'Palghar'.
Person willing to relocate can get in touch with us.
- To check strength of yarn (CSP) on Lea Strength Tester.
- To do fiber identification test.
- To perform package hardness test for newly received yarn cone.
- Follow up with Merchandiser Team for new Yarn development as per Customers requirement.
- To Accept/Reject newly received yarn through ERP system.
- Checking run ability of yarn (cotton, spun poly, nylon, spandex/lycra, elastic) on knitting shop floor and inspecting various quality parameters of yarn to minimize rejection.
- Maintaining the Quality Standard of products as laid down by the client.
- Auditing knitted socks by (20/0) method on shop floor to find physical defects like terry missing, yarn out, spandex appearance, holes, poor stitch, loops out, shade variation, top cut, streakiness, oil stain, needle/latch/sinker/line etc.
- To monitor the linking/seaming quality of socks being produced in seaming machines.
- To do Product Benchmarking for the newly sampled socks.
- To maintain 1.5 AQL (acceptable quality level) on shop floor during auditing of socks.
- To check and verify the computer programming of m/c installed by product development team and suggest for corrections to be made; if any.
- Checking new article samples & doing pilot lot for new article (checking as per standards laid down by client) before starting bulk production on machine.
- Co-ordination with production team for Quality related problems such as size, fitment, physical layout, stretch ability etc.
- Helping and monitoring team members in resolving technical difficulties and providing training to the new QA recruits.
- Set QA audit plan during every shipment to the customer.
- Coordinator of Quality Circle team; established to minimize rejection & control Quality aspects.
- Reporting to QA Manager of the day-to-day functioning.
