Sr. Software Engineer - Mumbai - Affinity

• We are looking for a WordPress Developer to join our team at Munchable.
• You will be responsible for WordPress development customization, including creating WordPress plugins modifying themes.

This role requires

• Programming skills in PHP, JavaScript, and knowledge of HTML5, CSS3
• A strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems
• Basic understanding of Digital Advertising(Google Adsense, 3rd party Ad-Banners), Ad-Tech, Affiliate Marketing
• Experience with responsive and adaptive design, with an understanding of the entire web development process, including design, development, testing, and deployment is preferred.

• Establishing and guiding the websites architecture
• Working on setup, install and configure WordPress CMS Plugins
• Designing and implementing new features and functionality
• Developing templates and plugins from scratch
• Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
• Implementing effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.
• Finding, developing customizing templates/plugins based on the requirements

• Solid understanding of WordPress and CMS technologies
• Understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
• Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc
• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as GIT
• 4+ years of industry experience building websites and having programming experience using PHP, with knowledge of Linux, Nginx, Redis, Memcache, MySQL.
• 4+ years of experience with SQL and relational databases, the experience of writing complex queries, stored procedures, triggers, experience in MySQL is a must.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, DOM Scripting, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, browsers, Sessions, Cookies, JSON, XML, etc.
• Ability to understand and write high-performance production quality code with solid engineering skills to build cloud applications and API s.
• Bachelor s degree or higher in Computer Science with skills in website development and the internet.
• Strong understanding of design integration, understanding website performance, etc.
• Working knowledge of Linux based software development environments.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to tailor technical information for different audiences.
• Excellent teamwork skills, ability to self-start, share insights, ask questions, and report progress.
