Job Description
Scrum Master Role
Work closely with the Development, Quality Engineering (QE) and Business Analyst (BA) Teams to help deliver on team commitments (code, testing, deployments and implementations) on a set schedule for both production support, enhancements, new development and delivery across all supported environments. Solid understanding of SDLC and agile development processes with expertise in Jira. Ensure working knowledge of the team backlog, team velocity and upcoming objectives while communicating delays and/or changes in priority to team members and to management immediately.
A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of scrum methodology; able to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining results. Exercises absolute transparency in communication.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend and lead all team ceremonies (daily stand up, grooming, retrospective, planning, status)
- Provide frequent status reports to management including progress, blockers, risks and general status.
- Maintain progress and communicate on all initiatives for the team
- Provide reports on team velocity for prioritized work
- Able to identify and communicate possible bottlenecks and impediments to the team
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive collaboration between development, QE, and product teams
- Contribute to improving all our processes across the board
- Stay abreast of open tasks and each team members velocity on assigned work
- Ability to work with multiple teams with competing objectives and priorities
- Sense of ownership and pride in all deliverables
- Good time-management skills
Critical Qualifications:/Must Have Skills
- 7+ years of experience as a developer or scrum master for technology projects
- Experience with both maintenance, support and greenfield development projects
- Independent worker, self-motivated
- Proven knowledge and experience with agile and SDLC processes
- Jira and basic project management (including reporting, dashboards, projects, etc.)
- Excellent communication
Additional Skills & Knowledge/Nice to Have:
- Certified Scrum Master
- Previous healthcare knowledge
- Prior development experience
