Job Responsibilities

  • Provide daily support for Oracle and SQL Server databases both on-prem and in the cloud.

  • Implement the technical procedures, standards, and security for support of databases managed by ITS.

  • Help document the design, accessibility, and maintenance of database systems both on-prem and in the cloud.

  • The daily task will include but are not limited to managing backups, database patching, performance tuning.

  • Design, develop, and maintain optimized databases for development, testing, production, and training.

  • Designing and implementing SQL Server and Oracle solution for support High Availability, Disaster Recovery, and Database Capacity Management

  • Be part of a team that provided 24/7 support for SQL Server and Oracle databases.

  • Help Identify database tools that enable efficient database development, management, and utilization.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • BS/BA in Computer Engineering, MIS or equivalent degree

  • 6+ year experience as an Oracle DBA

  • 4+ year experience writing and tuning SQL.

  • 4+ year experience with Oracle Data Guard

  • 4+ year experience managing Oracle Rman

  • 2+ year Experiences setting-up/managing both HA and DR configurations in Oracle.

  • Experience working in a 24/7 global support group

  • Self-motivated and goal oriented

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • SQL Server or Informix experience a plus

  • Golden Gate experience a plus
