Analyze the current method of data migration from main frame application data (EBCDIC format) or from Legacy, ERP Database to distributed database formats (ASCII) and recommendations for processing Analyze the method of transforming existing data into a format for the new environment and the loading of this data into other database structures Review of existing migration tools and recommendations for improving performance of the migration process Necessary change and support documentation Required Skill Sets of Data Migration Specialist: Minimum of 7 years of advanced technical skills: ASP, ASP.NET, VB.NET, ADO.NET, Ajax Minimum of 7 years of advanced technical skills in SQL Server Database Management Minimum of 7 years of advanced technical skills in .NET Framework 2.0/3.5, Web Services, JavaScript, XML, HTML, CSS, T-SQL, SSRS, IIS 6.0 Proficiency in product development using web application and/or Windows forms applications High level of experience using SQL Server 2005/2008, excellent skills in database design Experience using Oracle PL/SQL, SSIS Experience in ETL development using SSIS The applicant should have excellent analytical skills and technical writing skills The applicant should have good interpersonal skills and ability to interact with associates at all levels of the organization
