Job Description
Equity Research Manager is required to perform duties as per the below enlisted descriptionCandidate should have experience of 8 to 12 years.
Must have experience into team handling and total of in Equity research and drafting of reports (buy/sell/hold/expensive) under a diverse set of categories that entail income reports, growth, penny and resource reports, and dailies. These would pertain to diverse sectors (to name a few - energy and oil, materials, mining, telecommunications, pharmaceutical, biotechnology). Frequency is decided as per the requirement of the business.
Must provide required support for the seamless operations of the report handling, preparation, review and releases -
oReviewing and Managing reports prepared by Analysts
oManaging and/or Preparing Main/Topical reports that are to be released on daily basis depending on movement in the market.
oManaging and/or Preparing macro-economic reports/ industry overviews under newsletters based on requirement of the business.
oManaging and/or Preparing Quick digest reports entailing any news items
oAssisting and guiding the members of the Research team on any required work product as per the need of the business.
oUploading of ready to be released reports on companys portal.
Research securities of target industries and companies to provide investment recommendations.
Collect and interpret company data to facilitate recommendations
Develop and write research reports and publications to be presented to management or shareholders
Financial modelling: input data into proprietary financial models to create charts, dashboards and supporting material
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry happenings and current events.
Conduct primary research from industry sources
Assisting the leadership team in providing insights for research streamlining, workflow management, and team development.
Keeping a track of portfolio performance on a regular basis and conducting activities required for performance evaluation of equity portfolio.
Catering to queries emanating from sales team and pertaining to client requirements.
Performing other suitable activities based on the need of the hour (videos/ podcasts etc.) and requirement of the business.
The timing for the report preparation, uploading, and release would vary depending on the type of respective report and in accordance with Australian time zone.
Education and other skills:
CA/CFA/MBA from top tier institutes having 7 to 12 years experience in Equity Research/ Corporate Finance/Investment Banking
Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, Discounted Cash Flow Valuation, etc., preferably for stocks
Must have expertise in using financial research databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Thomson)
Must have strong command over Excel & Power point
Must have analytical, multi-tasking, and persuasive mindset with growth orientated goals
