Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Generates potential 'Rackers' from a variety of different sources in order to attain quarterly head count targets. Serves as a valued resource to managers in order to ensure successful hiring of the best possible talent.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITY: Expert knowledge of customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Expert knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, and information systems. Ability to communicate technical info and ideas so others will understand. Ability to develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to evaluate strategic growth objectives and develop recruiting plans and responses based on business need and operations. Advanced knowledge, understanding and practical application of local, state and federal legislation that influences recruiting practices. Ability to successfully work and promote inclusiveness in small groups. Ability to provide FANATICAL support.
JOB COMPLEXITY: Guides managers in the development and execution of hiring plans. Meets with hiring managers to create recruiting and interviewing plans, define candidate selection criteria, develop job postings, and plan out the recruitment timeline for roles. Generates candidates directly from a variety of sources. Completes screening interviews with prospective candidates and determines candidate viability to move to the hiring manager for review. Provides candid assessment of applicant culture fit based on interaction and assessments during the recruiting process. Develops and educates other recruiters and managers on key indicators of culture fit with Rackspace. Advises and educates and guides hiring managers on best practices for interviews and the recruitment process. Represents Rackspace to potential candidates, the public, government, and other external sources. Develops networks for attracting viable active and passive candidates through social, professional, and industry networks and contacts. Assesses recruiting processes and practices and recommends and implements efficiencies. Maintains current knowledge of recruiting industry best practices, trends and innovations. Develops a bench of passive candidates and develops resources to expand sources for passive candidates. Conducts regular follow-ups with managers to receive feedback on the recruiting process and shares best practices with the recruiting team.
SUPERVISION: Operates independently with general direction on new or complex assignments. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Serves as an escalation point to Associate Recruiters and Coordinators.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree and 7 - 9+ years recruiting, hiring and/or sourcing experience required. Prefer degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or Communications. Demonstrated ability to consistently provide FANATICAL support.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: General office environment. May require long periods sitting and viewing a computer monitor. Moderate levels of stress may occur at times. Schedule flexibility to include working a weekend day regularly and holidays as required by the business for 24/7 operations.
POLICY COMPLIANCE:
Responsible for adhering to company security policies and procedures and any other relevant policies and standards as directed.
