SAP BTP is an integration and extension platform that enables customers and partners to connect their landscape and create application extensions that focus on their business needs. It is also the platform on which SAP itself builds its cloud applications. In the SAP BTP Core Foundational Plane organizational unit, we are passionate about delivering everything needed to enable efficient application and extension building in the cloud. This includes world-class, independent technical services and runtimes as well as the harmonization of data models, APIs, and events and improving the developer experience in general. In Foundational Plane we set the platform up for success in the cloud.
The Technical Services unit provides the multi-cloud foundation for SAP BTP Core and a layer of abstraction for all applications to run on both public clouds [AWS, Azure, GCP, AliCloud] and private cloud. Technical Services around data management, platform services, etc. forms the key portfolio of the unit
THE ROLE
As a devops expert you will be working on one of the following components:
1. Data Management Services provides multi-cloud managed hyperscale backing services like Object Store, Database & Caching as a Service. We provide a K8S native backing services
Technology Stack:
Languages Java, NodeJS, Go, Python, Shell
Databases S3, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis
Messaging & Eventing Solace based event and message broker
Container Docker, K8S. OS - Linux
IaaS AWS, Azure, GCP, AliCloud, Private Cloud
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Excellent programming know-how in JAVA/JavaScript/NodeJS/GO or in any other language
Strong expertise with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, Shell, Terraform, Chef, etc.
Experience with Data Center/Server automation technologies
Working experience of Jenkins and other CI/CD tools
Automate deployment and provisioning in different cloud landscapes and data centers
Automate integrate scenarios in order to validate the sprint deliverables and service consumption readiness
Operationalize and support the cloud services built by the dev team
May require scheduled and unscheduled off-hours work (on call duties)
Good understanding of building scalable services and applications on the cloud
Masters or Bachelor s Computer Science degree in Engineering or Tech from a premiere institute with excellent academic records
3-6 years of relevant experience in software development
