Background

Exposure Management is a new, exciting, high profile and fast growing area of the business. The team work closely with the Alesco Wholesale broking units as well as with Lloyds and London Market Insurers providing cleansed and structured exposure data, as well as internal and external analytics on the impact of Natural Catastrophe and non-Natural Catastrophe events to ensure Alesco clients understand and can mitigate their exposure to these events through the purchase of the appropriate insurance protections across multiple lines of business.

Principle Duties

Cleanse, enrich and geocode clients exposure data & import it into bespoke Exposure Management software

Understand and input complex insurance structures across multiple lines of business into the software

Ensure data quality is of the highest standard and all necessary quality checks are performed

Ensure internal and external KPIs are met

Additional duties

Prepare carrier submissions in the appropriate format on a per risk and portfolio basis

Assist in the creation of bespoke analytics to help clients & carriers understand their exposure to Natural Catastrophe and non-Natural Catastrophe events

Assist in the production of internal analytics at a per risk and portfolio level to help identify new business opportunities

Assist in the development of spatial analytics and Power BI exposure dashboards for internal use

Help test and upgrade Exposure Management software as required

Skills and Attributes

Knowledge of LMP slips & the Lloyds and London Insurance Market

Technical understanding of data enrichment, manipulation and data cleansing best practices

Ability to work quickly and precisely with large data sets

A keen interest in data and Natural Catastrophes

Self-Motivated

Good communication skills

Proactive in finding solutions to problems without waiting to be prompted by others

Good MS office skills particularly Microsoft Excel

Knowledge of GIS software

SQL and database structure knowledge is preferred but not essential
