It will also embark on new business development and implementation particularly Offshore Wind and HVDC transmission projects in Asia and the Middle East.
Task & Responsibilities
- Perform operational buying activities for both production material and indirect goods and services.
- As support, you have order proposals from our SAP system.
- Assure that purchasing activities comply with category strategies and maintain strong information flows with the Category Teams or sourcing managers in the event of high-value or non-standard requests, demand aggregation, and issues requiring escalation.
- Support Sourcing Managers and Category teams with submission of operational buying data for input to strategies and sourcing activities.
- Assure that the relevant systems are updated with Procurement Data, e.g. supplier, price and payment terms, and other conditions.
- Supports the supplier creation process. Keep systems updated and clean.
- Act as an expert in SAP MM and ensure that the transactional component of the procurement process is delivered efficiently.
- Ensure that operational targets and KPIs are tracked and delivered.
- Create and confirm supplier material forecasts and plan delivery.
- Support warehouse and operational activities/projects when needed and possible.
- Cooperate with the Account Payable function to drive efficient e-2-e Procure to pay process and simplicity.
- Support the local business in the delivery of day-to-day purchasing activity, and challenge gaps in PO compliance to maximize control and minimize risk.
- Support the organization in using our own platform., NKT Market Place, and SAP MM, supporting the local business where needed.
- Bachelor's degree and minimum 2-5 years working experience within Operational Procurement or Supply Chain function.
- Strong knowledge of operating SAP procurement module.
- Process and execution-driven personality.
- Analytical sense and ability to use tools like Excel to perform data analytics.
- Service mindset and ability to discuss with business across functions.
- Language skills: Fluent English in verbal and written.
- Experience from working with European or American companies.
- KnowHow within Ariba or other similar catalogue and e-sourcing systems is a plus.
- Experience from the process industry or cable manufacturing.
- Knowledge in German language.
