Software Development Engineer In Test - SDET @ Poshmark

Job Description

• We are looking for a Software Development Engineer In Test (SDET) who will architect and implement high-level functional and integration tests, and build testing infrastructure on which developers can build feature and unit tests for our mobile development.
• Youll have a huge impact on the quality of Poshmark growing products and services by creating the next generation of tools and frameworks that make our users and developers more productive.
• You will influence better software design, promote proper engineering practice, bug prevention strategies, testability, accessibility, privacy, and other advanced quality concepts across products.

Responsibilities

• Create test harnesses and infrastructure and develop test strategies for mobile testin
• Create some level of automation using framework such as Selenium and Appium
• Write code/scripts to test systems.
• Take responsibility for monitoring product development and usage at all levels with an eye toward improving product quality.

6-Month Accomplishments

• Contributing to automation by adding new test cases
• Run and perform regular automation tests and debug/fix possible issues
• Ability to work on multiple platforms and run regression tests

12+ Month Accomplishments

• Contributing in design and development of the automation framework
• Adding new features into the automation framework while working closely with development teams

Requirements

• 2 to 3 years of strong programming/scripting experience with languages such as, Python, Java, Javascript or Ruby.
• Abile to write clean, runnable, readable, and efficient code in addition to debugging when needed
• Exposure building robust and scalable test automation systems for web, mobile and apis
• Familiarity with automation framework such as Appium, Selenium, Webdriver
• Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, github, unix commands, Jenkins
• Experience in test design and automation over distributed systems
• Experience with all aspects/phases of automation including GUI, integration and stress testing
• Experience with creating test plans based on end user scenarios
