We have an Excellent Opportunity for Speech Researchers to join the Speech Tech team at Armsoftech.air.
This team at Armsoftech.air is trying to create technology that seamlessly translates speech from one language to another in an end-to-end fashion.
As a Speech Researcher, you will help us develop database and deep learning models for speech to speech translation (STT) models and apply them to large-scale production tasks.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Preprocessing of the data to make it useful for STT model development.
- Researching the latest modeling techniques and standard library to build the STT model. Understanding trade-offs between competing approaches, and identifying the ones that are likely to serve our end applications.
- Implementing the STT models and improving modeling tools based on the feedback obtained from evaluation metrics. Preparing the training recipes and prototypes utilizing programming skills in Python, C/C++, Shell, or Perl.
- Conducting experiments to assess the quality of speech-to-speech translation (STT) models and to study the effectiveness of different modeling techniques.
- Analyzing field data in order to identify areas of possible improvement or enhancement of the system.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Solid Machine Learning background and familiarity with standard deep learning, speech, and machine learning techniques.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in building models for deep learning, speech recognition, and natural language processing systems. Special emphasis on end-to-end ASR/TTS, encoder-decoder networks, transformers, neural machine translation.
- Good software engineering skills, expertise in C and/or C++, proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. shell script, Perl, Python) and text processing commands, and experience working under both Linux and Windows.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (like Keras or PyTorch) and libraries (like scikit-learn)
- Solid written and oral communication skills in English.
Preferred :
- Explicit (industry or academic) experience with NLP and ASR/TTS
- MS/Ph.D. or 2+ years of relevant work experience.
- Expertise any of the following areas: end-to-end ASR/TTS and neural machine translation.
