 IT Finance Business Process Owner

Job Description

As a member of the Global IT&P Enterprise Solutions Delivery Team, the role is part of the global IT Finance support organization. The incumbent s main responsibility will be to provide systems support in the area of core finance processes such as General Ledgers (FI/CO), reporting, month-end close, legal entity configuration and enhancement and/or Tax within the various nDuPont SAP environments and targeted legacy applications (e.g. Blackline, GCAP, FEED, tax reporting, etc.). With our changing environment, the role may be extended to other Finance areas of support as needed.
The candidate will be responsible for delivering and leveraging solutions and technology to enable the organization's future-state functional capabilities, which would enable or alter Finance processes or practices that drive the organization's targeted functional outcomes. The candidate will need to be fluent with Finance processes, challenges and opportunities as well as the current technical solutions.
The role will allow our team to create competitive advantage coping with the many opportunities and challenges ahead of us.
Scope of Activities:

  • Tasks related to this role will include the following activities, among others:
  • Involved in addressing opportunities, new needs or improvements within the Finance by delivering IT solutions.
  • Partner with the Function key players and other business process owners to understand opportunities for process improvement and ensure adequate and cost-efficient configuration of the various nDuPont SAP global environments in full support of the reporting process and in compliance with U.S. and local GAAP.
  • Translate Finance/Businesses requirements into detailed functional / Technical requirements and work with Vendors overseeing deliverables on time and quality,
  • Partners across IT to ensure consistency of approaches, strategies, subject matter detailed expertise and methodologies.
  • Work with service delivery and key organizational stakeholders to define plans for leveraging new capabilities for the end user and ensure they are deployed and supported correctly,
  • Be able to lead and drive projects or project workstreams with Finance for IT deliverables in all project phases from front-end loading to build/realization, testing, go-live preparation and go-live support.
  • Assist the Finance Teams in investigating systems issues and in identifying relevant corrections in both SAP and other legacy systems.
  • Build and drive change management plans (end user trainings)
  • Plan and transition solutions from development to service delivery.

  • Demonstrated ability to:

  • manage complex relationships between Business Users and IT suppliers, both internal and external,
  • find resolutions that benefit the supported function and are aligned with affordability,
  • Understand impact of technology on operations practices and key Users skill requirements,
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects with discipline and active stakeholder engagement.


Additional Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in Finance and Accounting or IT degree in SAP.
  • 5-8 years of experience in SAP and Finance,
  • Flexibility to travel up to 25/50% as projects and go-lives demand.
