Roles and Responsibilities:

Main Task

Ice Plant Technician- Precast/ Readymix filed

Job Description for Cooling and Freezing Equipment Operators and Tenders :Operate or tend equipment, such as cooling and freezing units, refrigerators, batch freezers, and freezing tunnels, to cool or freeze products, food, blood plasma, and chemicals.

Main Task

• Un interrupted supply of ice to DPP.
• Operation of vapor compression machine(Ammonia based) as per S.O.P. (Flake ice and Tube ice)
• Operation of Ice conveyer.
• Cooling tower operation and cooling water treatment
• Maintain consumable spares for ice plant equipment.
• Follow Safety Standard.
• Understanding or knowledge of PSM Standard is added advantage.
• Operation of DM, RO plant
• Operation of Air compressor
• Operation of Blowers, Water distribution system.
• Operation of Nitrogen plant.

Other Tasks

• To report for any abnormality in operation.
• Observation and eliminate unwanted leakages seepages.
• To monitor rotating equipments and report for any abnormality, e.g. vibrations, higher bearing temp. etc.
• To maintain house keeping.
