Summary
IT Manage Deal Services (MDS) as part of IT Services is responsible for the planning, designing, implementing, and operating of IT solutions supporting SAP s entire business process portfolio along its company journey, closely interacting with respective Lines of Businesses. We act as the Businesses trusted advisor and experts, driving together the simplification, harmonization and intelligence of our business processes, with the focus on Lead-to-Cash processes by living agile ways of working and adopting of state-of-the-art solution design embracing innovation and new technologies to achieve higher effectiveness.
Within IT MDS, the Contract to Revenue team delivers IT solutions primarily to the SAP Global Finance & Administration Board Area. Our scope includes the following business processes: Contract Management, Order Management, Invoice Management, Tax, Localization, Cash Collections, Royalties & Revenue Accounting and other related topics. We are reaching out for a techno functional consultant with a strong foundation in ABAP and relevant expertise in indirect taxes, who would like to support SAP s own adaption of SAP s Products and Solutions in the role of an IT Technology Consultant
The Role:
- Within IT MDS, you will work in a highly agile environment with strategic relevance to drive legal compliance in Tax reporting and country specific requirements.
- Our key expectations would be:
- Work closely with Tax Managers to identify and implement solutions related to country-specific legal mandates and close the business requirement.
- Contribute to the aligned and consistent design and/or architecture of a product, part of a product or a specific architecture subject.
- Drive continuous improvement of IT Solution and Service quality with focus on stability, usability, maintainability and ultimately customer satisfaction.
- Identify areas of improvement and innovations in business processes and methodologies and translate product and business requirements into technical features.
- Urge to drive innovation and early adoption of new technologies and solutions in close collaboration with Product Development as well as other teams within IT.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to work in virtual team and act as team player .
Role Requirement:
- Bachelor or Master s degree.
- 6 to 9 Years of relevant experience in ABAP & Tax.
- Strong knowledge of SAP classical ABAP & OOABAP, SAP Getway-Services (oData / Soamanager), SAP BADI (Classic BADI and Kernel BADI) & understanding of SAP LUW & DDIC Objects.
- Hands on experience in SAP Enhancements (user-exits, Implicit and explicit enhancements), OSS Note implementation & Debugging.
- Knowledge of SAP BOPF, SAP UI5 development, SAP CDS views, AMDP, Access control, SAP HANA modelling (Calculation View, analytical view, aggregation view, Table function)
- Knowledge of Python, Java (with different framework like spring boot framework), Java Script, NLP & Open source API consumption and integration with SAP system will be an added advantage.
- Hands-on experience in Indirect Tax related topics like European Union VAT, Intrastat Reporting, VAT Returns, EC Sales List, GST, Withholding Taxes etc.
- Experience in Vertex for US Sales/Use Tax will be an advantage.
- Exposure to areas like India GST, Mini One Stop Shop for EU, Tax Reporting Date for CEE countries, Canadian GST/PST/HST/QST, Argentina Perception Tax, Peru detraction Tax, Russia Tax Monitoring, Malaysia Service Tax will be an advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP configurations in various functional areas that include SD Order to cash, Pricing and Billing.
- Basic knowledge on Finance integration topics with SD and MM module.
- End to end implementation project experience and support project experience is required.
- Experience on S/4 HANA upgrade topics will be an advantage.
- Experience of working in agile environment methodologies such as Scrum & DevOps model.
- Exposure to Incident / Change / Problem Management.
- Basic knowledge of integration between SAP & non-SAP systems.
