SUMMARY
SAP Discovery Center plays a critical role in the digital enablement & adoption of the SAP Business Technology Platform. You have an opportunity to be part of a diverse, talented and motivated Engineering team that owns and shapes the direction of the solution.
THE ROLE
- Collaborate and work closely with a team of highly motivated and experienced software professionals (Product Owners, Developers, Product Management, UX & UA Designers and other stakeholders in a distributed and global setup) to implement and deliver high quality enterprise grade UIs.
- Be responsible for architecting and leading the implementation of the front end based on industry best practices and product standards.
- Provide technical advice and direction regarding technical feasibility and implementation of the UI.
- Lead, mentor and provide functional and technical guidance to a team of UI developers.
- Own the complete front end development lifecycle (Design, implement, test, maintain, upgrade) including solving customer reported bugs and issues.
- Continuously improve the software development framework by defining and promoting new UI developments and best practices.
- Implement engineering excellence by enforcing regular code reviews, continuous integration, high test code coverage, on-going code refactoring, documentation and focus on performance, security and scalability.
ROLE REQUIREMENT
- Proven expertise with SAPUI5 & SAP Fiori solutions, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML DOM, HTML5, CSS3, NodeJS.
- Excellent programming skills and good knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Knowledge and experience of UI best practices for web applications.
- Knowledge and understanding of micro-services architecture, and APIs (REST, ODATA) services is essential.
- Knowledge of development best practices, architectural concepts and relevant design patterns.
- Proven track record of technical competence, writing resilient code, and maintainable software.
- Soft skills such as English communication, team work, self-motivation, creativity, maturity & emotional intelligence and stakeholder management.
