Job Description
Job Title: Sr. Software Engineer - Test EngineeringDuration: Full-time
Location: Gurugram, India
Job Summary:
Performs engineering work in operations, production, construction or maintenance environments. Designs and scales up manufacturing processes, instruments and equipment and tests manufactured products to maintain quality. Plans, designs and estimates time and cost and oversees construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, systems and components. Analyzes and develops solutions to engineering problems related to manufacturing equipment and systems or the causes of component failures. Develops and applies engineering standards and procedures and provides advice on issues within the engineering field.
This is an individual contributor role that requires the use of judgement in applying professional expertise and is expected to work independently with minimal supervision. Roles typically require a university degree or an extensive amount of practical knowledge gained through experience. Job requires an understanding and application of procedures and concepts of own discipline. The job requires attention to detail in making evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual information. This job typically requires a degree or equivalent and a minimum of 2 or more years of experience.

- Together with the software team, develop a testing strategy for testing during the developmental phase.
- Develop the verification and validation strategy/plan that meets the SDLC requirements within the project timeline and resource constraints
- Develop software test cases to verify the software requirements.
- Execute non-function testing which involves accuracy, reliability, performance.
- Execute formal system verification testing together with the end users
- Support other projects during research phase of product development.
What you need:
- Work experience of 6-8 years in technical expertise
- Educational degree of BE/B.Tech/ME/M. Tech in Computer Science/ Electronics/ Electrical Engineering
- Proficient in SDLC, Test Methodologies, Bug Lifecycle, Test Case development, Risk Assessment
- Working experience in teams following Agile methodology, such as Scrum, Kanban.
- Excellent at designing and review of test case, test plan, test reports.
- Working experience of tools like JIRA, GIT, Bitbucket etc.
- Proficient in Test Methodologies, Bug Lifecycle, Test Case development, Risk Assessment
- Proficient in using Python
- Proficient in API testing (using tools like Postman, RestAssured, and SOAPUI)
- Experience with revision control tools like Perforce and GitLab.
- Working experience of Application Lifecycle Management tools.
- Prior experience in development and execution of application system testing in a product development environment.
- Ability to drive towards root cause identification and resolution
- Strong interpersonal skills and people influencing skills. Should be able to negotiate between the development team, systems, quality, and project manager.
- Open and quick to learn and explore new tools and technologies.
- Familiar with setting up of test environment for V&V activities
Good to have:
- Experience working on cloud technologies like Azure, AWS.
- Experience of End-to-End Automation using Automation tools like UFT, Squish
- Working knowledge of Docker.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft project
- Working knowledge of Jenkins (using pipeline for CI/CD)
- Working knowledge of Cucumber Studio
- Proficient in Performance testing tools Jmeter, Locust
- Well versed with non-functional testing tools used for performance testing, security testing.
- Proficient in databases such as (Postgres, MySQL, SQLite)
- Proficient in using Selenium or any other web automation testing tool
- Experience in creation and maintenance if automation framework.
- Knowledge of Databases and constructing SQL commands
- Experience working in medical device industry
