* Big Data experience (Hadoop- Hive, Spark ,Scala) - advanced experience with Scala and / or functional programming

* Ability to use Linux / Unix environments for development and testing

* Shell Scripting experience

* Understanding of ETL processes and practices (ideally having implemented an ETL system before)
