Job Description

Position: SME/ TL/ Laterals/ Manager - Underwriting

Years of Experience: 2-15 years

Job location: Bangalore/Mumbai/Coimbatore

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Well versed with FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA and investor guidelines
• Review loan files for completeness and accuracy
• Evaluate complete loan documents and should provide approval or denial decisions
• Complete review of credit report to verify trade lines, derogatory accounts, public records and credit reconciliation
• Thorough income calculation salaried income, business income, retired, other income and rental income
• Complete review of collateral and property valuation
• Assets verification including borrowers bank account statement, retirement accounts, mutual funds and other investments.
• Credit analysis based on borrowers Income, assets, liabilities and collateral (4Cs of Underwriting) to determine the credit worthiness of a customer
• Validating and processing the Loan documents
• Evaluating evidence of borrowers willingness and ability to repay the obligation
• Knowledge of LOS to update and confirm application information against documents
• Conditioning for all missing and supporting documentation as needed

• Ability to maintain high performance in stressful situations (for example, deadline pressure)
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment while practicing sound judgment
• Demonstrating analytical, problem solving and researching skills
