Job Description
About the Role
- We are looking for an experienced senior developer to work on real-time, low latency, multithreaded Java server side applications used in Equity Electronic Trading technology team.
- The role requires in depth technical knowledge and analytical ability to engineer and manage a complex ecosystem.
- It offers opportunity to work on business critical, greenfield/brownfield and high visibility projects and will require collaboration with US-based engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
- Perform SDLC tasks such as design, develop, test, document and support the application.
- Candidate should be able to work on multiple deliverables.
- Provide application support and collaborate with partner teams for issue resolution.
- Strong technical skills and motivated to learn/improvise required to succeed in this role.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 7+ years of development experience (multithreaded systems, messaging, caching).
- This includes full life cycle development and understanding of application development methodologies, as well as experience in a 3-tier application environment.
- Good understanding of Core Java, Database (Sybase, MS SQL, DB2), Perl and Shell scripting.
- Familiarity with build/ release processes and performance testing tools.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills logical reasoning.
Desired Qualification
- Understanding of Capital Markets, Equity Cash products and trade lifecycle.
- Understanding of FIX protocol and exposure to FlexTrade (or any third party OMS).
- Experience developing high volume, low latency, real-time, distributed systems using low latency Java.
- Exposure to other technologies such as SQL/databases, Python/shell scripting, messaging (Solace, MQ, Tibco RV), C++/C#.
