The Project Manager is responsible for planning, overseeing, and leading projects from ideation through to completion. They should have experience with both Waterfall and Agile ways of working. The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that resources, timelines, and the overall quality of a project is considered, accounted for, and delivered. The Project Manager must have strong leadership skills to lead cross-functional teams in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment with the ability to maintain discipline and focus on our business goals.
The Job:
Develop and manage relationships with all areas of IT and the Business.
Lead project planning sessions with cross functional teams as well as individually drive project management deliverables
Manage several moving projects and project parts simultaneously.
Determine and define project scope and objectives
Predict resources needed to reach objectives
Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
Manage relationships and coordinate milestones and dependencies between teams including: Business Operations, Customer Service, Finance, Sales, Testing, Development, Architecture, Infrastructure, Release Management, UI/UX, and more
Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the entire project execution
Manage project progress, adapt work as required, and ensure project meet deadlines
Manage risk, issue and change mitigation plan
Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
Communicate project reviews with executive leadership including but not limited to developing reports, facilitating demos, and engaging executives in decision making when appropriate.
Optimize and improving processes where applicable
Execute project change enablement and communications
Conduct project readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and business go/no-go reviews
Ensure projects are delivered within requirements and identified business value
Maintain a project management repository and manage key information such as process, procedures, dependencies, and communication plans
What you will need:
Total 11+ years of experience
Minimum 7 years of experience in core project management
Must have in-depth experience in Waterfall and MS projects with some exposure in Agile is preferred.
Proven ability to solve problems creatively
Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
Ability to multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously
Big-picture thinking and vision with detailed execution skill set required for delivery
Conflict resolution skills
Ability to coordinate multiple teams to ensure projects are executed to meet value goals
