Job Description

1. Main function and key responsibilities
1.1. Sales Management in CRO Business Development Team:
Directly responsible for managing the Lead Generation activities and secure a steadily filled pipeline of leads
Directly responsible for the sales target achievement within the assigned scope of markets/territories
Responsible for detailed and accurate sales forecasting, building pipeline & budgeting for assigned scope of markets/territories
Build a network of contacts in markets/territories and effectively leverage it for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and expand existing business.
Analyze customer requirements and check suitability of Taros offerings & then pitch for sale
Create and deliver powerful presentations, tailoring communication based on client with a view to win the business
Represent the company at conferences, trade fairs, networking events and professional meetings for sales achievement, pipeline building and customer relationship building
Gather market intelligence on customer organizations and industry activity and share relevant customer knowledge with the organization to ensure the opportunities are addressed
1.2. Reporting:
Provide monthly consistent reports in writing on individual progress with leads, opportunities & deals and pipeline building activities
Provide monthly report on Indian based Lead Generation activities according to MIS norms
On-time updating of Taros CRM tool and complying with reporting structure / Taros MIS norms
Compile comprehensive reports when personally attending events, exhibitions, meetings, phone / web conferences
Provide quarterly consistent reports in writing on plans, budgets and achievements of own lead generation activities
Gather market intelligence on customer organizations and industry activity and share relevant customer knowledge with the organization to ensure the opportunities are addressed
Take regular feedback from clients and monitor customer satisfaction
1.3. Information liability:
Timely and accurate transfer of information & deliverables into Lab Organization or other stakeholders
1.4. Safety:
Follow safety rules and SOPs when operating in lab environment and restricted areas
1.5. Resource management
Apply rules of efficiency and common sense when making use of Company resources, e.g. Company car,
2. Behavior
Ensure a descent, impeccable personal appearance, language and demeanor as a Companies representative towards external contacts
Coordinate different leads, opportunities and projects with diverse scientific and commercial requirements
Work under pressure with strict deadlines and or fixed budgets, set priorities, operate with can do trouble shooting attitude
Act as team player
Demonstrate agile thinking such as
Openness to new ideas and changes for quick, innovative thinking
Generation of innovative ideas from current situations
Further development and improvement of companys processes
3. Interaction with:
Internal: Synthesis & Production Teams in Germany and India (Taros & Mithros Team Leaders)
Internal: Taros Marketing Team
External: Customers, Partners, Leads, Vendors &CMOs with personal contacts up to Senior Mgmt level
4. Qualifications & Experience:
This role is responsible for achieving individual sales targets of company's services & products within a defined scope.
This role will actively manage and develop business opportunities, generate leads and create a stringent sales pipeline according to KPIs to be harvested individually or with Team and (initiate to) close relevant deals
M. Sc (B.Sc.) in Organic Chemistry or similar
At least 8-10 years professional work experience within a chemistry CRO/CMO environment
A clear hunter attitude and track record in meeting sales KPIs and revenue target
Fluency in English written and spoken (an additional international business language is a plus)
Excellent listener; proficiency in summarizing and communicating information efficiently to internal and external stakeholders
Ability to articulate the potential for added value from Taros product/service portfolio to the customers needs
Ability to identify new accounts and growth opportunities, to structure and close a deal / support the closing
Personal freedom to travel any country / no visa restrictions + car driving license
Flexibility to travel extensively
5. Reports to: Head of Business Development
6. Contract length: 24 months (contract extension based on performance)
