Test Lead - Chennai - Br el & Kj r - 8 to

You will be responsible for testing real time and high throughput data software applications.

You will work as part of a team supporting HBM Genesis High Speed products. HBM Genesis High Speed products contribute to a variety of applications across technology sectors such as: Automotive, Electric Drives Generator, Aerospace, Energy / High-Voltage, Material Testing and Service.

This will include manual and automated testing of the application and overall system.

Primary responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

• Development and execution of test plans and strategies for Genesis High Speed products. This will include manual, automation and interactive testing.
• Lead and mentor an initial testing team of two people.
• Provide leadership for the test team, both technically and managerially.
• Setting up of system tests for new feature testing and ensuring those system tests remain up and running.
• Creation of new unit tests for new functionality. Extension of existing unit tests that cover the existing functionality.
• To contribute in conjunction with other members of the team to ensure all software errors are identified and reported.
• Monitor system test results and perform first level diagnostics.
• Assist with resolution and reproduction of user software problems.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the software by working in conjunction with software testers and developers based in the Europe.

Professional qualifications

• 8-10 years experience in similar previous roles specifically including 2 years experience in software testing of data acquisition software. This may include some relevant experience in developing, enhancing and maintaining test automation framework(s) for desktop/web applications using test automation tools such as QTP/UFT, Win App Driver, TestComplete, Selenium WebDriver, Squish, etc. with C#, Java, Python or any scripting language.
• Demonstrable programming experience in object oriented programming languages C#.
• Bachelor of Engineering or Technology degree in Electrical, Electronics, Communication, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Knowledge of testing processes, tools and methodologies.
• Knowledge / experience of Agile Software Development Testing, SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
• Knowledge and experience of Jira and Confluence or similar would be advantageous.
• Knowledge on Test and Measurement would be an advantage.
• Candidates who also hold Agile or ISTQB Software Test certification would be an advantage.
• Candidates who can join immediately or within 30 days are desirable.
