Plan, manage logistic operations liaising with internal stake holders, suppliers, logistic providers, transportation companies and customer.
Create and implement best practice logistic principles, policies processes across the organisation to improve and operational and financial performance.
Deliver solutions to logistic problems while maintaining high level of quality and services within budgetary requirements.
Monitor quality, quantity, delivery time and transportation cost.
Negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistic providers.
Recommend optimal transport mode, route or frequency.
Select suppliers and monitor services against performance criteria.
Ensure the integrity of inventory accuracy and maintain the stock movements with direct reports.
Identify and resolve any inventory discrepancies and insure inventory and system records are in agreement.
Keep track of slow moving and obsolete stock.
Ensure IT system in place are effective, maintained and accurate.
Ensure metric, reports and documentation is available.
Hold responsibility for department budget.
