Educational Qualification

Graduate/ Post Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Additional Project Management Certification preferred

Years of Experience &
Preferred Industry

Minimum 3 to 4 years experience, 3 years in Machine Manufacturing/Line Automation/ Fixture Manufacturing /Tool Room in a Medium/Large sized company.

Industry: Heavy Engineering/Automotive/Jigs and Fixtures/Robotic welding Lines/ Automation Lines/Machine Manufacturing

Critical Skills Required

(Technical/ Behavioral/ General)

Tool Room Management , Project Management , Heavy Manufacturing

P & L monitoring for Cost Centre,

Mentoring , Provide technical Guidance and support on all aspects of Tool room

Lean Management -Bringing continuous Improvements in Team

Exposure to Toyota /Bosch production Systems - Ensure 5S. Productivity , Reduce Wastes etc

Good Communication skills ,CFT & Customer Coordination

Major Deliverables/

Key Result Areas

Assembly review with QC for CF and Welding Fixtures and Welding Lines

Assembly team allocation and Alignment to Project Timeline , Productivity & Effectiveness from Teams

Problem Solving skills in Assembly Process , Cross Functional Co-ordination with Design,Materials, Machining and QC teams

Ensure QMS objectives to meet the Company Objectives

Integration Plan & Monitoring - Mechanical/Electrical/PLC and Robot

Installation Plan and Monitoring ;Reporting and controls with Customer

Prove out of CF, WF and Lines as per customer Spec, Process Layout, Tact Time proving Buy off Activities with Trials team & Customer

Customer Interactions & handling customer complaints

General Tasks & Responsibilities

Coordinating with shop for assembly progress and facilitating smooth assemble activities

Management of schedules for Assemble/Service to obtain zero man-hours lost

Improving and Maintaining departmental controls, processes and work flow patterns

Planning, execution and overall management of projects

Continuous technical support.

Cost to Completion ownership
