Job Description Summary
Drive quality improvement for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation in region. Own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing established quality tools. Execute supplier audits, ensuring compliance, and driving improvement plans where needed. The Engineer, Supplier Quality Development assumes the responsibility to Manager, Supplier Quality Development in Global Operations and Sourcing Quality.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop supplier in terms of quality
- Ensure the management of supplier quality development for the assigned panel of suppliers in respective region in line with sourcing strategy to achieve the desired supplier performance is met as per the target.
- Perform Qualification audit, Surveillance audit, Quality incident audit of suppliers supplying direct materials and equipment's.
- Perform Supplier Assessment and set up improvement action plans to match the supplier capability to LM requirements.
- Development of Suppliers with Low scores in line with sourcing strategy
- Train Suppliers on LM Requirements, Qualification Process
- Train Supplier on 8D methodology
- Train supplier to ensure defined standards are properly managed
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor or master's degree in engineering with experience in managing suppliers.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in working in Manufacturing, preferable more than 3 years of experience working in managing supplier quality and development
- Auditing skills as per ISO9001:2015, TS16949:2016.
- Knowledge on the Quality Management systems.
- Good knowledge of quality systems and sourcing business processes.
- Good Project Management skills.
- Knowledge of PDCA, SPC, 8D, Poke Yoke and FMEA methodologies.
- Willingness to take responsibility and drive the solution of complex problems.
- Must be a team player capable of integrating and work well in a cross functional team.
- Results driven, with analytical and numeric skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines.
- Experience in dealing with International Customers/ Suppliers / Customs.
- Excellent command of the English language both written and verbal (key)
- Local language from Plant where he/she will be is required (interaction with non-English spoken people in the Plant).
- Able to travel 50% in their work schedule
