Job Description
What You Will Do - Main Accountabilities
The IP Data Consultant will work closely with the internal and Client Project teams during IPfolio and FoundationIP system implementation projects to-
- Understand data migration requirements due system functional requirements and client business processes lead the mapping and migration processes to accurately and efficiently transfer source data and document sets into the IPMS fields and system tables, translate source data into the correct IPMS data values, test and verify data migration accuracy, and collaborate with the Implementation Consultants to provide training to Client Project Teams regarding data migration testing best practices.
- Assist Clients with the data migration reviews by responding to questions, supporting issue resolution related to data mapping and migration activities, and refining the data migration routines in an iterative, agile approach to meet data migration requirements.
- Ensure internal and external client satisfaction by completing deliverables in accordance with Project Plans and Project Budgets. Track deliverables and provide documentation in an accurate and consistent manner.
- Resolve problems and issues efficiently and professionally based on knowledge of IPMS products and related applications and tools. Respond to requests from clients and internal teams in a timely and professional manner.
To Succeed, You will need
- Experience in and knowledge of Intellectual Property data and terminology
- Knowledge of data structures, data modelling tools, and data migration best practices
- Knowledge of SQL Server, MS Access, and relational database management systems
- Experience writing SQL queries and Macros
- To work independently and be a detail-oriented, self-starter
- To exhibit a confident, engaging communication style, incorporating both written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to implement transformation logic and business rules effectively
- Strong attention to detail and high capability to work on different projects in parallel with high customer satisfaction
- The ability to work in an agile, fast-paced, business environment
- A commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
Preferred Experience
- A degree in a Data Analytics or a Computer Science discipline, with 1+ years of relative experience or 3 - 5 years of relevant professional formative experience
- Experience with IP Management software solutions
- Knowledge of the IP Lifecycle for Patents and Trademarks
- Experience with software implementation methodologies and processes
